Libya’s Interior Ministry wants all foreigners registered as per the law

The Interior Ministry urged shop and factory owners as well as owners of rented houses to register the foreigners they deal with in the nearest police station to their locations.

In a statement on Facebook, the ministry said this measure is aimed at boosting security and allowing foreign residents to move around freely.

The ministry also warned that it would hold the ones who don’t comply with the new measures accountable as per the law, citing that fact that many foreigners have no identification documents and thus could affect the security conditions in the country, outbreak of diseases and infiltration of extremist groups into the society.
