IS leader threatens to wage war against GNA

A leader in the Islamic State group (IS), in Sirte, promised to wage a war against the Government of National Accord (GNA), Al-Wasat website reported.

Abu-Abdullah Al-Masry, who is an official in the so-called the Islamic Court, said in a mosque that “soon, Tripoli which is full of mujahedeen will be set to fire”, he called the GNA as the “Government of Crusaders”.

The members of the Presidential Council (PC) of the GNA arrived in Tripoli via sea last Wednesday. The PC held a number of meetings along the past few days.

The special representative of the United Nations to Libya, Martin Kobler, described the meetings to be very important on the way to democratic transition in Libya towards peace, security and prosperity.
