The National Oil Corporation (NOC) welcomed the Security Council’s decision to impose international sanctions against Libyans involved in human trafficking and smuggling of migrants.

The NOC Called for expanding the list to include fuel and oil smugglers as well.

“We call for an immediate expansion of the sanctions list to include fuel smugglers all over the country and those who seek to smuggle the Libyan oil,” Chairman of NOC Mustafa Sanallah stated Saturday, noting that this will help restore prosperity and peace to Libya.

Sanallah called on the international community to follow these procedures in full, to ensure that all criminal networks that profit illegally are impeded and weakened.
