GNA expresses reservation to new EU naval mission to enforce Libya arms embargo

Libya’s Foreign Minister, Mohammed Siyala has expressed to the EU ambassador during a telephone conversation, the reservation of the Government of National Accord (GNA) with respect to launching a naval mission to enforce the UN arms embargo on Libya.

He said that the new mission only focuses on maritime surveillance, while it turns a blind eye on the arms flowing to Haftar via the airspace and the eastern borders, according to the ministry’s information office.

He hinted that implementing this resolution in such a manner throws into question the integrity and impartiality of the EU.
