Civil Registry Authority taken over by ‘’extremists’’

The Civil Registry Authority (CRA) confirmed yesterday that it had been forcibly taken over by ‘’ideologically extremist groups’’ who took control of its database of Libyan citizens which would have ‘’enabled them to control the affairs of Libyans and the manipulation of their identities for their own interests’’.

Update: Tripoli detention of presidency security team members angers Kobler

UN special envoy Martin Kobler has protested at the arrest of three members of the security committee set up by the Presidency Council yesterday at Tripoli’s Mitiga airport. The three, who were returning from Tunisia, were detained for a couple of hours before being released.
