Attorney General Office issues arrest warrants against individuals involved in closure of oil fields

The Attorney General’s Office in Tripoli issued two arrest warrants against two people on charges of inciting the closure of El-Feel and Sharara oil fields in the south-West of the country.

European Council says Libya needs a national solution away from military operations

The European Council said it had adopted conclusions on Libya in a meeting on Monday. The council welcomed the outcome of the Conference for Libya hosted by Italy in Palermo on 12 and 13 November 2018, which followed the Paris Conference held on 29 May 2018.

UN envoy calls Tarhuna Seventh Brigade to join security arrangements

Director of the Department of Relations and Information in the Municipality of Trahuna Mohammed Saied said that the UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame had requested the Seventh Brigade to be part of the security arrangements in Tripoli.

Between September 2017 and last month, Egypt hosted seven rounds of talks aimed at unifying the military establishment in neighbouring Libya. Participants were representatives of Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, from eastern Libya, and their counterparts from the Government of National Accord (GNA), based in Tripoli.
